This is an evolving situation and we will continue to update our plans and our actions, with safety top of mind, as we move forward. All students and employees are required to complete a short training module on COVID, how it spreads and how to limit its spread, prior to returning to campus or if continuing to work under alternative work arrangements.
The online training module includes an question quiz to ensure understanding of the material. Completion time is estimated at around 15 minutes. Upon completion, participants will sign an acknowledgement that will be directed to the Dean of Students Office for students or to the dean or supervisor entered by each employee. Human Resources will also have access to a database of those who have completed the training.
Employees should complete the training prior to the July 6 return to campus date. Students should complete the training by August 10 or before returning to any classes on the USI campus. Student workers returning to campus prior to the Fall Semester should consult their supervisor for access to the training. While on the USI campus or University owned and operated facilities, faculty, staff, students, contractors, vendors and visitors are required to wear a face covering when in buildings, including in classrooms.
Face coverings must also be worn in open office spaces and outdoor areas where physical distancing is not possible. Face coverings are not required in private offices or when in a space alone. You can move into your off campus property from the start date of your contract. The keys to your off campus property can be collected from Student Services located in Senate House , during their opening hours. If you are planning on arriving outside of these opening hours, you will need to email Student Services studentservices warwick. The main Arrivals period for students living on campus is September Over this period there will be thousands of students arriving on campus causing the roads to be heavily congested and leading to long delays.
We ask that wherever possible, after your contract start date, you avoid moving into your property over this period to prevent any further disruption and to give you a better arrival experience. However if you do arrive between September, please be advised that the keys to your off campus property will be held at our Arrivals Hub University House and Kirby Corner Car Park between am and midnight on these days only.
If you are arriving between these dates, please ensure you follow the arrival instructions. If you have asked and it has been agreed for your contract to start on an earlier date or we have asked you to move in on a later date, your contract start date will be the date that we have agreed in advance. Please note, you will be liable for your accommodation fees from your contract start date or from the date previously agreed for an early arrival, even if you do not move in to the property until after this date.

Bluefield State College was scheduled to reopen all offices Monday, but that open date has been pushed back until Monday, July 27th. The halt comes after rising concerns about the spread of COVID and the need to minimize risks of this disease. Houston Baptist University has adopted a parking and traffic program to create an orderly traffic flow and equitable parking conditions on campus. Anyone who operates a motor vehicle on Houston Baptist University property must register that vehicle. Motorized wheelchairs and authorized HBU vehicles and equipment are exempt. Short-term registration is available through the Police Department. If you do not have a vehicle on campus, then a student parking waiver request form will need to be filled out. Students will become responsible for the parking sticker if the waiver is submitted after the census date.
Online students who do not intend to park on property must also fill out and turn in a student parking waiver form. Possession of a parking permit does not guarantee a parking place in a specific lot. To park on HBU property you must have a permit.
